Mountain lion hunts are always available.
A typical day's hunting starts in the early morning with a hearty breakfast in the main lodge. Lunch will be packed, hounds and snowmachine loaded in a comfortable 4WD pickup and we are off looking for lion tracks.
After the lion track is located, the hounds are turned out on track and the fun begins with listening to a fine hound doing his job.
When the cougar is treed the hounds will hold it awaiting your arrival. When you arrive at the tree you will see a magnificent animal seldom seen in the wild. Lions may be harvested by Archery, Handgun, Muzzleloader or Rifle.
Many record book lion have been harvested in the Meeker area. Meeker boasts holding the World Record Lion for 65 years. That lion was harvested by Teddy Roosevelt in 1902, and is currently number 4 in the Boone and Crockett record book!
Your license may be purchased upon arrival in the state.
