on approximately 10,000 acres private and private access BLM. The Cherry Ranch is historically renowned as a high quality hunting ranch. It is surrounded by private ground on 3 sides, borders the Jensen State Wildlife Area on the north side and is only 2 miles from the White River National Forest (as the crow flies). The long and short of it is, the Cherry Ranch acts as a natural funnel for elk and deer to hide out during peak high pressure hunting periods from surrounding public grounds and harder hunted local private properties. YOU'LL SEE MORE GAME HERE! Hunting At The Cherry Ranch We at Cherry Ranch Outfitters offer "2 to 1" or "3 to 1" guide services for a limited number of clientele. This is a working livestock ranch, and therefore is easily accessible by motor vehicle, which is our normal mode of travel. If you're a person who enjoys the outdoor experience but doesn't want to share it with the whole state of Colorado, then this is for you. We here at Cherry Ranch offer affordable quality big game hunts to a limited number of hunters on a first come basis with over 60 percent repeat clientele yearly. You will develop friendships & memories to last a lifetime and probably fill your tag here! We offer this large mountain ranch for big game hunting. our 2009 Clients: Archery Archery hunting at Cherry Ranch is outstanding. Our bow hunters experienced 100% shot opportunity and over 90% harvest on legal bull elk. Our guides are also avid archers & we speak the language quite fluently. Our clients enjoy multiple shot opportunities on a daily basis and all of our hunts are done on foot, no boring tree stands! You just can't have more fun than that. Rifle Hunting Well, if almost everybody gets one with a bow, imagine what you could do with a gun. Our rifle hunts are very low impact and are suitable for anybody, regardless of physical abilities. So, put on your hiking shoes or pull out the bag chair & the coffee thermos & do it your way. Rifle elk hunters here are thrilled to see elk in the hundreds and experience over 90% harvest rates on legal bulls, 100% on cow elk. Mule Deer The Cherry Ranch has big bucks. We have taken great care in managing the deer and have created some of the finest trophy buck deer in the area. Our clients enjoy 100% shot opportunities & usually 100% harvest on mature trophy bucks. Our bucks average 24" with a few going over 30". We only allow 8 deer hunters per year and don't do a buck only hunt. Wounding Policy If you wound any animal and don't recover it, your hunt may be over unless the outfitter determines it was non lethal or for some reason was determined unrecoverable. Good luck.
